Why not pick up some AirPods to go with your new iPhone?
So you’ve got your lovely new iPhone, and you’re ready to get out and about and enjoy. But there’s one thing you’re forgetting — every iPhone needs a pair of AirPods to really be complete. All those extra features, the Spatial Audio with head tracking in Apple Music… and the AirPods are currently only $69.
All the products, all at once
Credit Verizon for letting you take care of all your shopping in one place. The carrier is bundling an iPhone — an iPhone 17 Pro Max, in this case — with an Apple Watch 11 and an iPad.
A trade-in isn’t required for your free iPhone 17 Pro Max, but you will need to open a new line at Verizon on the carrier’s Unlimited Pro or Unlimited Plus plans. The iPad and Apple Watch need plans of their own, too. Still, that’s a lot of devices in exchange for tying yourself to Verizon for the next 36 months.
iPhone 16 keeps dropping
When new iPhones come out, the price of older models drops. That’s why the iPhone 16 now costs $699 at Apple. But you can find the older model for even less on Black Friday — especially if you’re willing to activate the phone with a carrier.
Best Buy has dropped the iPhone’s price to $679, which is less than what Apple is charging right now. But if you activate the phone with either AT&T or Verizon when you check out at Best Buy, the price drps even further. You get another $100 discount dropping the total cost to $579 for an iPhone 16 — not bad for a phone that still performs well against more recent models.
Don’t forget the cases
If you’re picking up a new iPhone this weekend, make sure to get a case that goes with it. And even if you already have an iPhone, shop for a case anyhow — they’re great holiday gifts, and many of our top picks are on sale this weekend.
Among the best iPhone 17 cases we’ve seen, our top pick —Spigen’s Thin Fit — is 20% off, and the durable Otterbox Defender Pro series case has dropped $32 to $47. But some of the biggest savings can be found on Apple’s own iPhone 17 Silicone Case with MagSafe, which is now $36, a 27% discount.
Looking for a case that fits a different model? Here’s our other top picks.
Plus-sized deal
The Plus model didn’t make the cut for the iPhone 17 lineup, so the iPhone 16 Plus is the last of its kind. Apple dropped the cost of the iPhone 16 Plus by $100 to $799 with the iPhone 17 launch, but you can get the older phone for free at Verizon right now.
Specifically, when you sign up for an unlimited plan at Verizon — including the cheapest Welcome Unlimited option — you can get the iPhone 16 Plus for free via monthly bill credits. Those credits extend for 36 months tying you to Verizon for three years.
Why get an iPhone 16 Plus? Because of the bigger screen and the fact that this model supports the same Apple Intelligence features as the iPhone 17 models. It should still be getting iOS updates when your commitment to Verizon is over.
Finding a cheap plan for your iPhone
Once you’ve tracked down an iPhone deal, your purchasing problems aren’t over. You’ve still got to find a wireless plan for your new phone, and if you don’t get a good value, you could wipe out any savings you may have found for an iPhone deal.
Fortunately, Verizon-owned Visible has a deal on its unlimited data plans right now that locks in savings on your wireless coverage — and not just for a little bit, but for more than two years.
Sign up at Visible with the ‘SWITCH26‘ promo code, and you can get a discount on the rate for any of Visible’s three unlimited data plans, with the discount remaining for the next 26 months. We’d recommend the Visible Plus plan, our pick for the best unlimited data plan, which sees its monthly rate drop from $35 to $26 under this deal. That’s $234 in savings over the life of the deal.
New phone, new service
Get a phone at Mint, and any deal usually includes sevice through the T-Mobile-owned discount carrier. And that’s no burden: despite its reliance on T-Mobile towers (or maybe because of that), Mint is one of the best phone carriers we’ve tracked, tanks to low prices on wireless service.
To that end, Mint Mobile’s iPhone 17 Pro deal includes a year of unlimited data for half-off-the-usual rate ($180 instead of $360, so you’re paying $15/month in essence.) Tack that onto the iPhone 17 Pro’s $1,099 cost, and you’re paying $1,279 for both phone and coverage — with no additional payment for wireless service required until a year from now.
iPhone Air price comes down to earth
There’s a lot to like about the iPhone Air’s slender, lightweight design, but I’d guess the $999 starting price puts off some would-be upgraders who might balk at paying that much for a phone with limitations on camera and battery life.
Not much can be done about those limitations, but carriers can take aim at the price. AT&T is knocking enough off the cost of the iPhone Air to where you’re paying less than $90 for the phone. And there’s no trade-n required.
Sign up for an unlimited data plan with carrier, and the cost of an iPhone Air drops to $7.99/month. Consumers are eligible for an additional $200 credit, lowering the monthly payment to $2.43. That’s spread out over 36 months, tying you to AT&T for the next three years. But that commitment may be worth getting an excellent phone for less than $3 in monthly payments.
What’s cooking at Apple
Apple doesn’t do Black Friday the way other device makers do. Unlike Samsung and Google, which are offering direct discounts on their phones, Apple instead throws in a gift card when you buy an iPhones.
The deal doesn’t even cover the iPhone 17 models. Instead, you can nab a $75 gift card from Apple when you buy an iPhone 16. The iPhone 16e gets a $50 card.
I think you’re better off looking for carrier deals on the iPhone 17. (So does Apple, which links to iPhone 17 deals from carriers to help you score a discount on a new model.) But if you are considering an iPhone 16e or one of the company’s older models, you can get something in return at Apple.
Expand your iPhone’s storage with this $8 MagSafe card reader
Even though there are new iPhone models out there that come with generous storage, like 512GB or 1TB options, there’s an easy way to supplement it. All you need is this incredibly useful Anker MagGo USB-C Adapter that lets you quickly and easily expand your iPhone’s storage.
That’s because it sits on the back of your iPhone with its magnetic connection, which tucks away microSD and SD card slots that you can use to increase your storage. It also works well to save video footage captured in ProRes Log. Even better, you can use this adapter to transfer files to and from your device.
This $579 iPhone 16e deal from Mint Mobile comes with a 1-year unlimited plan
Okay, so we’ve shared a couple of our favorite iPhone 16 deals for Black Friday, but this one from Mint Mobile is just a irresistible. That’s because for the one-time cost of $579, you’re getting the iPhone 16e and a year’s worth of unlimited cell phone service.
Considering how the phone normally costs $599 by itself, this one’s a pretty good offer because it comes with service that’s already paid off.
Unlocked iPhone 16e at 27% off at Best Buy
We’ve shared a previous Black Friday deal from Boost Mobile that can get you an iPhone 16e for $99, but that requires you to commit to paying for its unlimited cell phone plan. If you just want the iPhone 16e and nothing more, then look at Best Buy’s offer that can discount the phone by up to 27% off.
This unlocked iPhone 16e normally costs $599.99, but there’s an instant $50 off savings going on right now — with an additional $100 off if you select the option to activate it on Verizon or AT&T.
Best Buy has our favorite 3-in-1 MagSafe charger on sale for 53% off
We’ve tested dozens of MagSafe wireless chargers, but the one that gets our vote for being the best is the Mophie 3-in-1 Extendable MagSafe Stand. Even though it functions just the same as every other model we’ve tested, what differentiates it is the fact that it has a telescoping stand for your iPhone while it’s charging. It’s perfect for watching video by your desk or taking the occasional FaceTime call.
Best Buy has it down by 53% off right now as part of its Black Friday sale, which makes this Tom’s Guide approved MagSafe charger easier to buy at $69.
No lengthy service agreements with this $250 off iPhone 15 Plus deal
The nice thing about this Black Friday deal on the iPhone 15 Plus is that it doesn’t require a lengthy service agreement agreement like what T-Mobile, AT&T, and Verizon offers. Instead, Total Wireless is simply asking for a 3-month commitment to its Total 5G+ Unlimited plan, which comes out to a flat fee of $195 at checkout.
This drops the price of the iPhone 15 Plus form $629 to $379, plus the unlimited plans comes with a subscription to Disney+ Premium. In total, $574 plus tax at checkout to get the iPhone 15 Plus with three months of unlimited service.
Get a free iPhone Air, plus a free iPad and Apple Watch, all on Verizon
Verizon’s no stranger when it comes to having the best Black Friday iPhone deals. Just like its offer for the iPhone 17, you can get a free iPhone Air when you commit to a 36-month agreement with its Unlimited Plus plan for $80/month.
If you’re able to handle that monthly payment for an unlimited plan, then you also get the option to get a free iPad and Apple Watch. They require separate data plans that drive up your month cost, but at least you don’t have to pay for the devices themselves.
Visible’s giving the iPhone 14 away for free when you sign up for its annual plan
Visible might not have as many device deals for Black Friday, but one you should know about is the free iPhone 14 offer. Basically, you get it for free when you sign up for the carrier’s Visible+ Pro annual plan, which comes out to $450 at checkout. You’ll need to use the code BLUEDEAL at check out to make the iPhone 14 come out to free. Once you do all of that, you won’t have to worry about paying for your cell phone plan for an entire year.
Don’t have a trade-in? No problem with Xfinity Mobile’s $400 off savings on iPhone 17 Pro
Xfinity Mobile customers have something to be excited about because the carrier is offering an instant $400 off savings with its iPhone 17 Pro Black Friday deal. This is good for existing customers who are upgrading a line or adding a new one.
While you could technically shave off more on the cost of the phone with a trade-in, up to $1,100 in fact, it doesn’t require one for you to get the $400 off discount. When this phone normally retails for $1,099, it’s nice you can still lower the price without giving up your old device.
Save 25% off this Tom’s Guide tested MagSafe wallet for iPhone
Thanks to MagSafe, there are plenty of accessories you can pair with your new iPhone purchase. If there’s one we recommend getting with Black Friday sales happening right now, it has to be the ESR MagSafe Wallet with Find My. In addition to it accommodating up to 6 cards in our testing, you can fold it over to act as a phone stand that’s perfect for watching videos and taking the occasional video call.
If that’s not enough, this handy wallet allows you to track it because of its Find My support. In the event it’s lost, you can track it down. If it’s nearby but you can’t find it, you can play a tone that makes it easier to find.
Got $65 a month? Then get a free iPhone 17 courtesy of Boost Mobile
Everyone is just about offering a free iPhone 17 deal of some kind. While some require a trade in or pricey service agreements at close to $100/month, Boost Mobile has one of the better packages right now for Black Friday. When you activate the iPhone 17 on the carrier’s $65/month Infinite Access plan, it makes the phone’s cost come out to be free.
That’s almost a fraction of the cost that the other major wireless carriers are asking with their respective service plans, which can even fetch for as much as $100/month.
Save $250 off iPhone 16 Pro when you activate it with 3 months of service
Total Wireless is a Verizon owned MVNO and it’s what we like to classify as the in-between option with Verizon and Visible. Right now, the carrier is offering the iPhone 16 Pro with $250 off its price, which brings it down to $649. You need to activate it with the carrier’s 3-month Total 5G+ unlimited plan, which tacks on $195 to the cost at check out.
It’s still an outstanding Black Friday offer considering that you’re getting a flagship model with 3 months of service for less than the cost of buying it outright at $999.
Don’t knock this $329 Black Friday deal on the iPhone 15
Are you on Verizon currently and don’t want to get into any other service extensions that require you to get on a really expensive unlimited cell phone plan? Then check out the iPhone 15 deal that Best Buy’s offering because its cost goes down to $329 when it’s activated on Verizon. This phone launched at $799, so getting it for $329 without any trade-in or contract extensions is a pretty good deal. You’re still getting the latest iOS 26software out of the box and you should continue to get more updates.
No monthly device charge for this iPhone 17 Pro Max deal with Verizon
Verizon’s your destination if you want Apple’s top-of-the-line flagship with the iPhone 17 Pro Max. The carrier’s offering it for free without a trade-in when it’s paired with the carrier’s $90/month Unlimited Ultimate plan for a single line. Just know that it does require you to stay on that plan for 36 months. Considering how the iPhone 17 Pro Max is the best in the lineup, you’re getting the best iPhone without paying anything for it.
No trade-in required to get this free iPhone Air Black Friday offer
Apple’s most ambitious device in years is the iPhone Air, mainly for the fact that it’s the skinniest and lightest phones around today. For Black Friday, T-Mobile’s giving away the iPhone Air when you activate it on the Experience Beyond unlimited plan at $100/month for 24 months. If you’re willing to pony up that cost for the next two years, you’ll snag the iPhone Air without any device charges. This one doesn’t even require a trade-in!
Trade in an iPhone 14 Pro Max and get the iPhone 17 Pro for free
One of the frustrating things about trade-in offers is that you typically need last year’s flagship models to get the credit value of a new iPhone. That’s not the case with AT&T’s Black Friday deal because right now the carrier will accept a working iPhone 14 Pro Max and give you the proper $1,099 credit to cover the cost of a new iPhone 17 Pro. So, if you have that older iPhone currently, you’ll be able to take advantage of AT&T’s promotion.
The cheapest iPhone just got cheaper!
Are you looking to get a hassle-free deal that doesn’t involve trade-ins, lengthy service agreements, or other confusing offer? Then look no further than at Boost Mobile’s Black Friday deal on the iPhone 16e. Yes, it’s already cheap by today’s standards with its $599.99 starting cost, but this deal drops it down to $99.99. The only thing you need to do is activate it on Boost’s $60/month Unlimited Premium plan.
Why just get a new iPhone when you can get a free iPad and Apple Watch too?
Verizon has one of the best iPhone Black Friday deals around. In addition to getting an iPhone 17 for free with a 36-month agreement, but you’re also given the option to get a free iPad and Apple Watch. Of course, you’ll need to activate a data plan with those respective devices. This one doesn’t require a trade-in as well, which makes it even better!
An iPhone, an iPad and an Apple Watch all in one deal!
Perhaps the most spectacular deal on an iPhone this Black Friday is Verizon’s offer of an iPhone 17, Apple Watch 11 and iPad 11 for free when you take out an unlimited plan. That’s three devices for the price of one!
The Apple Watch 11 and iPad 11 are awesome deal sweeteners if you (or someone lucky in your life) needs a new smartwatch or tablet, but the iPhone 17 is of course the star of the show. Apple added a huge number of upgrades this year, such as a smoother display, a new Center Stage selfie camera and longer battery life, that make the base model arguably just as good value as the more expensive pro iPhones.
