Jan Ravnik, Jen Affleck React to Maks Chmerkovskiy Criticism

If there’s one thing you do not do, it’s mess with one of the Mormon Wives and her dance partner. Hell hath no fury like a dancing duo scorned. Former Dancing With the Stars pro Maksim Chmerkovskiy criticized new pro Jan Ravnik for his technique and ability to teach his star, Jennifer Affleck. “I’m sorry, Jan has absolutely no business being a pro on Dancing With the Stars. There’s zero foundation, technique, quality, understanding of the partnership,” Chmerkovskiy said on the most freeing public forum, his wife’s podcast, The Penthouse With Peta, on October 24. “Bro, I’m getting emotional. It is absurd. And this is unreal, how blind we have to be, and, God forbid, say what’s obviously there. He had no idea what [the] foxtrot is supposed to look like. How are you gonna expect him to teach it and deliver that message in a format that is completely different from even ballroom dancing?” These heated comments came after his wife offered some “grace” to Ravnik, being that it’s his first season as a pro; Chmerkovskiy fiercely disagreed.

Back on her home turf, Affleck took to TikTok to support and defend her partner and former Eras Tour ladder lover. “Me when anyone talks trash about Jan,” Affleck captioned the video where she pretended to write something on her phone angrily. Ravnik was right beside her, miming that the anger “doesn’t represent me or what we need to be doing.” DWTS pro Ezra Sosa, who’s partnered with Jordan Chiles, commented his support: “I’ll ride at dawn for this man.” If Chmerkovskiy and Ravnik really wanna dig into it, there’s only one solution: a dance-off.
