Jenelle Evans’ Ex Launches GoFundMe to Bring Son Jace Home Amid Alleged Gun Incident, Hospitalization
Andrew Lewis, the father of Teen Mom alum Jenelle Evans’ eldest son, Jace Evans, is trying to “bring Jace home.”
Lewis, 40, launched a GoFundMe on Thursday, March 26, hoping to raise enough money to cover his son’s “medical and legal expenses.”
“We are reaching out today to ask for help in our battle to get Jace Evans home. We—Jace’s father and grandmother—are trying everything we can to bring him home to his grandma’s house to live,” the fundraiser, which was launched under the name Charles Lewis, explains.
“As some are aware, Jace was hospitalized and then taken to a mental health facility in February and remains there as of today,” the statement continues. “Although his grandma and I have tried to have him released into our care, Jace’s mother has refused to let that happen and has insisted he remain in the facility, despite her living over 2,000 miles away and not being there to care for him.”
Andrew and the grandmother have reportedly been “cut off from having any communication with Jace” by Jenelle, 34.

“We are desperate to get him back to a loving environment,” the statement added.
While it’s unclear whether Lewis is referring to Jenelle’s mother, Barbara Evans, or his own mother as the “grandmother” in question, Barbara — who TMZ reported on March 24 has been blocked from contacting the teen — raised Jace since he was an infant.
As In Touch previously reported, the 16-year-old was checked into a mental health facility after allegedly pulling a gun on Barbara and threatening to kill her and himself.
The 16 & Pregnant alum — who lives in Las Vegas with her other children, son Kaiser, 11, and daughter Ensley, 9 — currently has legal custody of Jace, though he lives with Barbara.
“Don’t let the GoFundMe fool you, he has a job everyone,” Jenelle tweeted on Friday, March 27.
