Jenelle Evans’ Son Jace Reportedly Checked Into Mental Health Facility After 911 Call
Former Teen Mom 2 star Jenelle Evans’ eldest son, Jace Evans, was reportedly checked into a mental health hospital.
“Jace is now receiving treatment at a mental health facility after a troubling incident late last month,” TMZ reported on Monday, March 9.
According to the outlet, someone called 911 to report a disturbed teen at his grandmother Barbara Evans’ home on February 22. After officers arrived, it was determined that the situation required “further action.”
It’s unclear what prompted the call or how long the 16-year-old will remain in the hospital.
The news comes after years of turmoil over custody of the teen. Barbara has raised Jace — whom Jenelle, 34, shares with ex Andrew Lewis — since he was an infant, battling her daughter in court for more than a decade to maintain custody.

The 16 & Pregnant alum regained full custody of Jace in March 2023. However, after multiple attempts to run away from his mother’s house, Jace went back to living with his grandmother.
“At this time, we have no comment on the matter. We’re unable to discuss this issue because it involves confidential personal matters,” a rep for Jenelle told TMZ.
Jenelle — who also shares son Kaiser, 11, with ex Nathan Griffith, and daughter Ensley, 9, with ex-husband David Eason — reacted to the news via X Monday night.
“Yeah, that’s no one’s business to begin with,” she wrote in reply to a post featuring TMZ’s story.
