Jimmy Kimmel Has 1 Blunt Question For Ted Cruz After Trump Praise
Jimmy Kimmel on Wednesday night mocked right-wing media figures and MAGA lawmakers for their over-the-top praise of President Donald Trump’s State of the Union speech this week.
“This is the big difference between Trump supporters and everybody on the other side,” Kimmel said. “The worse Trump is, the harder MAGA-land works to tickle his little pumpkinets.”
Kimmel aired a supercut video that included Sen. Katie Britt (R-Ala.) praising the speech as “masterful,” Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) calling it “by far the best one,” and MyPillow guy/conspiracy theorist Mike Lindell declaring it “epic.”
And longtime Kimmel nemesis Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) called it a “majestic speech,” which left the host laughing.
“He still doesn’t like you, Ted,” he said through the chuckles. “Forget about it. He’s never gonna like you. No one does.”
Trump attacked Cruz relentlessly during the 2016 presidential campaign, often on a deeply personal level. Trump mocked Cruz’s wife, Heidi, and suggested that Cruz’s father played a role in the JFK assassination.
But Cruz has become a staunch Trump supporter anyway.
“I wonder if when Ted Cruz goes home at night, he looks in the mirror and throws up,” Kimmel asked.
