Congratulations are in order for Hollywood star Kelsey Grammer, who has become a father for the eighth time at the age of 70. The actor, best known for his role in ‘Frasier’, revealed that he and his wife Kayte Walsh, 46, were blessed with a baby boy. The couple named the little one, Christopher.
Kelsey announces the arrival of his baby boy
Grammer shared the happy news on an episode of the Pod Meets World podcast. While discussing his memoir ‘Karen: A Brother Remembers’, written in tribute to his late sister, the actor casually made the big reveal, announcing that the baby arrived a couple of days ago. “We just had our fourth one, so it just became eight kids,” Grammer said. “It was like three days ago – Christopher just joined the family,” People reported.
About Kelsey’s 8 children
This is the fourth child for the Emmy-winning actor and his wife, who share three children – Faith (12), Gabriel (10), and James (8). Grammer is also father to Spencer (41), with his first wife Doreen Alderman. He also shares Greer (33), with Barrie Buckner and two sons, Mason (23) and Jude (20), with ex-wife Camille Grammer.
Kelsey and Kayte spark pregnancy buzz
News of Kelsey and his wife Kayte, expecting a child together, began doing the rounds in June. At the time, Kayte was photographed with a growing baby bump while on a stroll in London.Grammer most recently opened up about fatherhood and admitted to feeling like he “neglected” a few of his eight children. In a May 2024 interview with PEOPLE, he said, “I’m trying to make up for a little of it now,” he said. “I’m still their dad, so you can always have a chance to show up.”
