Kid Rock is standing his ground, telling everyone he didn’t lip-sync during his Turning Point USA alternate halftime show, even though many people think he did. Jimmy Kimmel joked that he was “in a lip-sync battle with himself” last night. “My halftime performance was prerecorded but performed live. No lip-syncing like the haters and fake news are trying to report,” he posted on X the day after the show. “When they synced the cameras to my performance on Bawitdaba, it did not line up as I explain in this video.” As promised, the video attached showed Kid Rock and DJ Freddie “Paradime” Beauregard together defending his performance. “First thing is, if I was ever going to lip-sync, which I wouldn’t, that would be the last song I would ever have to bring in the fold to do it to,” Kid Rock added. “We’ve performed this song every night on tour since 1998, since the day it was released.”
He then claimed that the production team was unfamiliar with the song and ill-prepared to have it synced correctly. Kid Rock said, “It was very difficult for them because someone clearly wasn’t super familiar with the song.”
