Leak reveals price & release date of Sony’s next premium headphones, more expensive than AirPods Max 2
A new leak has revealed key details about Sony’s upcoming premium headphones, including their price and release date. The information comes from Billbil-kun, who is known for accurately leaking product details ahead of any official reveal.
According to the leak, Sony is working on a new pair of high-end headphones called the ColleXion. This is not expected to be a direct successor to the existing 1000X lineup, but rather a more premium or possibly limited-edition product. The headphones will reportedly launch in a single black color at first, suggesting Sony is going for a more focused and premium presentation.
How much will it cost, and when will it be available?
As far as the price is concerned, the ColleXion is expected to cost around €629 in Europe. That is significantly higher than the Sony WH-1000XM6, which launched at €449, and even more than Apple’s AirPods Max 2, which cost €579. This price gap makes it clear that Sony is positioning this as something above its regular flagship headphones. It could be a collector-focused product or a special edition with a unique design or features.
