Lisa Rinna Claims She Was Drugged at ‘Traitors’ Party
Lisa Rinna says she was roofied at the Season Four premiere party for The Traitors last month. The reality star spoke out about the alleged incident during an appearance on Good Day New York on Thursday, replying “Yes, I was” when asked about reports that she was drugged. “I had fentanyl in my system.”
She told the show’s hosts she took a drug test after the party that showed a cocktail of intoxicants. “I had fentanyl, high levels of amphetamines, and other things,” she said. “But I can’t talk a lot about it because we’re still dealing with it. It was leaked, and my team is dealing with it now.”
TMZ reported on Monday that Rinna had been drugged at the party. Sources told the outlet that castmate Colton Underwood had noticed Rinna seemed drunker than she ought to be, considering she hadn’t had much to drink. He had been by her side the entire event and thought her behavior seemed unusual. TMZ published photos of Rinna at the party, which she left with her husband, Harry Hamlin.
The party took place at the Abbey in West Hollywood, and, on Good Day, Rinna alleged that incidents like this often happen there. “So many people that I know have had this happen at the Abbey,” she said. “All my daughter’s friends. I mean, this is not a first-time thing. This is something that’s gone on for years. And I do think it needs to be a conversation. And I’m glad now that it’s out and we will deal with it. I just haven’t had my own time to do that yet.”
A rep for the Abbey tells Rolling Stone it has “extensive surveillance coverage, trained security personnel, and ongoing drink-safety measures in place” and that it prioritizes guest safety. “Lisa’s team shared concerns with us following her visit, and we immediately conducted a thorough internal review,” the rep says. “When she became unwell, our security team assisted her and escorted her safely out of the venue. We pulled and reviewed all available surveillance footage from the time in question and interviewed staff on duty. We found no evidence of drink tampering or suspicious behavior toward her.” The rep added that it could not speak to toxicology results or medical findings but that it takes “any report of a guest feeling unwell or unsafe extremely seriously and follow established investigative protocols.”
Famous for stints on The Days of Our Lives, Melrose Place, and Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Rinna was chosen as one of The Traitors’ titular fiends. On the show, she clashed with Underwood, who was famous for The Bachelor.
