Looks like Samsung doesn’t want to sell the Galaxy Z TriFold anymore

Samsung released its first trifold phone, the Galaxy Z TriFold, late last year. It has only been released in a handful of markets so far, and that too in very limited quantities.

If you haven’t been able to get your hands on one yet, you may soon be out of luck. A new report claims that Samsung will no longer sell the Galaxy Z TriFold, at least in one of its key markets.

The Galaxy Z TriFold quickly sells out whenever it’s restocked. Samsung is expected to restock the device in its home country of South Korea this week. A new report claims that this will be the last restock, and that Samsung will stop selling the Galaxy Z TriFold in South Korea.

We may see the device receive a final restock in some of the other markets where it’s available, such as the United States, with sales ceasing once the current production volume is sold out. Simply put, this means that Samsung isn’t making any more of these phones.

There may be various reasons behind this decision. Ultimately, the Galaxy Z TriFold was not meant to be a mass market product. That’s why it was sold in very few markets with quantities limited. The company has already confirmed that it’s not working on a Galaxy Z TriFold successor for now.

Whether we may see a return to this form factor in the future remains to be seen, but at least Samsung has shown that it can make a device like this if it was so inclined.
