Lori Loughlin‘s split from Mossimo Giannulli isn’t what she wanted for their 28-year marriage, especially after they weathered through the college admissions scandal in 2019.
Now, sources close to the Full House star are revealing to Page Six what was really going on behind the scenes — “incriminating” text messages by Giannulli.
“Truly, the tipping point came when Lori found a bunch of text messages,” a Loughlin insider claimed. “Mossimo had used Lori for years. She was hoping maybe he would change when he got out of prison, but he got worse.”
The 61-year-old actress’ representative, Elizabeth Much, told People on Oct. 3 that their split was just a pause in their marriage. “They are living apart and taking a break from their marriage. There are no legal proceedings at this time,” she said. However, the situation has reportedly taken a tenuous turn, and Loughlin “wants to have nothing to do with” Giannulli now.

An Oct. 9 Us Weekly report shared that she was “devastated” by the breakup and “thought a break could help” bring them back together. However, the fashion designer was quick to revive his dating life instead of focusing on their marriage. Giannulli was spotted with stylist Hannah Harrison, but she was quick to tell the media outlet that they were doing business together, nothing more.
“I feel like it was bad timing. I went to the [G/FORE Supply] store not knowing that his separation had been announced,” Harrison said on Oct. 3. “I was going there to meet him. … He was introducing me to the guys there so I could pull clothes [for Giannulli’s brand G/FORE].”
Loughlin was spotted with Anne Heche’s ex-boyfriend, James Tupper, on Oct. 1 by the Daily Mail, but that turned out to be a platonic dinner at The Bird Streets Club in Los Angeles. Still, Tupper’s comforting hug makes a lot of sense now in the wake of cheating allegations.
Loughlin has remained in their Hidden Hills, California home, which they put on the market in February for $16.5 million, and reduced to $14.95 million, per Page Six. Giannulli is traveling between Orange County, California, and the couple’s residence in Idaho.
There appears to be no reconciliation on the horizon.
