MAGA Figure Explodes Over Trump’s Argentina Beef ‘Betrayal’

Right-wing internet personality Tomi Lahren went off on President Donald Trump’s proposed deal to import more beef from Argentina in a multi-day posting spree, calling his idea “an absolute disgrace” and “a stab in the back.”

“Why the actual FUCK would we buy Argentinian beef?” read one of Lahren’s posts this week on X, formerly Twitter. “Our AMERICAN ranchers are getting crushed already by cheap shit foreign beef imports. The meat packers are already under cutting our AMERICAN producers as it is. This is an OUTRAGE.”

The president has come under scrutiny after suggesting that the U.S. buy more beef from Argentina to lower prices for American consumers.

Trump’s idea sparked criticism from groups representing American cattle ranchers, who called it a “betrayal.” The proposal also raised concerns from GOP lawmakers, some of whom represent major cattle-producing states.

“After crashing the soybean market and gifting Argentina our largest export buyer, he’s now poised to do the same to the cattle market,” Christian Lovell, a leader in nonpartisan farm organization Farm Action, wrote in a statement.

Trump addressed worried ranchers by telling followers on Truth Social that if it weren’t for him, cattle ranchers “would be doing just as they’ve done for the past 20 years — Terrible!”

“This is a kick to the balls and a knife in the back of our American ranchers and there’s no other way to put it,” Lahren said on her show, ”Fearless on OutKick,” calling Trump’s idea “so far from America first” it makes her “stomach turn.”

She told guest Rep. Thomas Massie (R-Ky.), who appeared on her show to urge the administration to consider a country-of-origin labeling policy, that the issue hits close to home. Lahren said she comes from a ranching family and has family members in the industry.

Lahren said that when “Trump was elected for the second time, a lot of American ranchers were so happy” and felt as if they had someone in the White House fighting for them.

“They were hoping during the first administration that he would do something to push forward country-of-origin labeling. That didn’t happen, and now here we are again,” Lahren said. “I think that President Trump cares about American ranchers and farmers. I know that he does, but I don’t know where the disconnect is happening here. I don’t know who’s to blame for this. “

The right-wing influencer, who has been a vocal supporter of Trump, drew some mockery for her beef with his proposed policy.

“WHY would the pyromaniac burn down the building?!?!?!,” Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-Calif.) said in a post responding to Lahren. “Who could have seen this coming?!?!?”
