If a deal closes, Jordan will play Ricardo Tubbs – one half of the famous cop duo known as Crockett & Tubbs.
James Crockett has yet to be cast but the previous reports that had Jordan rumored for the Tubbs role claimed Glen Powell will be up for the Crockett part.
“F1” and “Top Gun: Maverick” filmmaker Joseph Kosinski helms the film from a script by Dan Gilroy and Eric Warren Singer. Dylan Clark (“The Batman”) is producing.
The film will explore the glamour and corruption of mid-1980s Miami as it follows the two detectives who worked undercover. The project is said to be inspired by the pilot episode and first season of the landmark television series.
