Ohio State Pro Day: NY Giants will be watching Buckeyes’ prospects closely
The New York Giants will have a delegation that will include general manager Joe Schoen, assistant general manager Brandon Brown, and defensive coordinator Dennard Wilson at Wednesday’s highly-anticipated Ohio State Pro Day Day. Head coach John Harbaugh is also in attendance.
The Giants have the No. 5 overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. Ohio State has four players generally considered among the top 10 draft prospects in this year’s class, and several others considered draftable. The NFL Mock Draft Database lists 10 Buckeyes with draftable grades.
Edge defender Arvell Reese, off-ball linebacker Sonny Styles, safety Caleb Downs, and wide receiver Carnell Tate are the four top 10 prospects for the Buckeyes.
Downs did not work out at the NFL Scouting Combine, and there will be tremendous interest in whatever athletic testing he does on Wednesday. Tate ran a 4.53-second 40-yard dash at the Combine. If he can run under 4.50 on Wednesday he would solidify himself as the likely first wide receiver selected, if he has not done so already.
Defensive tackle Kayden McDonald (a Round 2 projection), and cornerback Davison Igbinosun (Round 3 projection) are other Buckeyes who could interest the Giants.
The Alabama Crimson Tide will hold their Pro Day on Wedneday. The Crimson Tide have 11 prospects with draftable grades, per the NFL Mock Draft Database, with offensive tackle Kadyn Proctor (No. 21) and quarterback Ty Simpson (No. 35) being the main attractions.
For the Giants, players like wide receiver Germie Bernard, a projected second-round pick, defensive tackle Tim Keenan, a projected fourth-round pick, center Parker Brailsford, a projected fifth-round pick, and interior offensive lineman Jaeden Roberts, a projected, sixth-round pick, could be of interest.
Every NFL team is expected to be represented at the Texas A&M Pro Day.
No word as of yet who will be representing the Giants.
Concepcion, with a late first-round projection, Bisontis, with a second-round projection, and Lee, with a fourth-round projection, could be among players of interest to the Giants. Concepcion, who could interest the Giants at pick No. 37 if he is available, did not work out at the Combine.
