Protesters march through Target store at USC Village to denounce ICE actions and demand store ban agents from store properties

LOS ANGELES (KABC) — About a dozen protesters marched into a Target store at USC Village on Wednesday morning, urging the Minnesota-based retailer to take a public stand against immigration enforcement actions.

The demonstrators chanted “ICE out of Target” as they moved through the USC Village location. They remained inside for about 20 minutes while store security monitored them. The group did not block entrances or interfere with customers.

Meantime, a similar protest was held at a Target store in Hollywood.

Protesters said they want Target to speak out against immigration actions taking place in Minnesota, where the company is headquartered. They also demanded that ICE and other immigration agents not be allowed on store properties.

The group said part of their goal was to support Minnesotans who are calling for federal immigration agents to leave the state.

A source confirms that Target does not have cooperative agreements with ICE or any other immigration enforcement agency.

The protests concluded peacefully, with no reported disruptions to store operations.
