Raiders set to hire Seahawks QBs coach Andrew Janocko as offensive coordinator
Janocko, 37, began his NFL coaching tenure as an offensive assistant coach for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers from 2012-2013. Thereafter, he took on various assistant offensive roles for the Vikings, where Kubiak was quarterbacks coach (2019-2020) and eventually offensive coordinator in 2021, which was the last year for both in the Twin Cities. After two years as the Chicago Bears QBs coach, Janocko rejoined Kubiak for his one-year stints as the Saints’ and Bears’ OC in 2024 and 2025, respectively.
Thus, onboarding Janocko to Kubiak’s staff is unlikely to take long.
The Seahawks were third in the league in scoring during their Super Bowl run.
Now, Kubiak and Janocko will aim to majorly improve a Raiders offense that was the league’s worst in 2025, finishing dead last in scoring and yards.
Bottom line, the new Raiders coaching staff is taking shape, and so far, it looks a little like the one that piloted the Seahawks to a world championship.
