Ridiculousness‘ long run has come to an end. After 14 years on the air, MTV has canceled the series, sources familiar tell Deadline.

The cancellation comes on the heels of the Paramount-Skydance merger, MTV’s parent, which has resulted in thousands of layoffs companywide.

The company is working to reimagine MTV for the future, we hear, with a more curated slate featuring fresh formats, different creative voices and refreshed programming.

No more original episodes will be produced, we hear, with new, previously produced first-run episodes continuing to air on MTV through 2026. Previous seasons of all produced episodes will continue to air on MTV and select seasons will continue to stream on Paramount+.

Ridiculousness premiered on MTV on August 29, 2011, and aired its most recent episode on Thursday, Oct. 30. in total, 50 seasons will have aired by the end of the series’ run (of originals) in 2026.

Created and hosted by Rob Dyrdek alongside Steelo Brim and Lauren “Lolo” Wood, the clip show has been a dominant part of MTV’s programming lineup. It showcases viral videos from the Internet, usually involving failed do-it-yourself attempts at stunts, which Dyrdek and panelists mock and react to.

Celebrity guests over the years have included KISS Frontman Gene Simmons, Jersey Shore Family Vacation’s Nicole ‘Snooki’ Polizzi, The Challenge star Johnny ‘Bananas’ Devenanzio, YouTube star Jake Paul, hip hop legend Juicy J, Wild N’ Out star B. Simone, among many others.

Dyrdek, Jeff Tremaine, Shane Nickerson, Brim and Dyrdek executive produce. The show is produced by Dyrdek and Nickerson’s Super Jacket.
