Russian stuff blowing up: Ukraine goes helicopter hunting
Ukraine scored two splashy hits on Russian helicopters — a rare Ka-27 Naval helicopter and an Mi-8.
These are notable because the naval helicopter is the first such loss for Russia in this war and the Mi-8 was brought down 200 km behind the lines inside Russia.
The Ka-27 is typically a sub hunter and can fire torpedoes. Since Ukraine has no subs (at least that I know of) I am assuming this chopper was engaged in hunting naval drones.
Radars in Crimea were also blasted.
Ukraine also struck a key electrical substation in Crimea and energy facilities in Donetsk and Krasnodar.
Thirty one Ukrainians held in Belarus have been freed.
An American-made drone has taken down more than a thousand Shaheds in six months. Not many specs released on this but I did see that it exceeds 280 kph.
Speaking of setting drone records.
They probably didn’t need that ammo.
Trump can be tough on the Russians when they interfere with a war he is actually interested in.
Russians cheer while Ukrainian prisoners are murdered.
Trump’s plan would grant amnesty to these miserable Russian assholes.

When you can’t or won’t pay your veterans, bad things are bound to happen.
Knock, knock.
Who’s there?
Consequences.
Romania scrambled some F-16s. Didn’t seem to do much good.
Don’t worry. They have plenty more gas.
Let’s check in on Trump’s super fabulous Nobel-Prize-clinching 28-point peace plan.
He’s going to keep offering horseshit plans that nobody wants until he has completely humiliated himself and America.
This isn’t a peace plan. It’s extortion.
Putin doesn’t want this plan to actually be adopted. He wants the war to go on. This plan was thrown together to make Trump happy but to also have enough poison pills in it to make sure it would be rejected.
2/ The independent Russian news outlet Verstka reports that Russian diplomatic sources and sources close to the Kremlin consider the draft agreement to be “vague, in need of revision, and not fully implementable.” They see it as merely a basis for a future agreement.
3/ According to a Russian Foreign Ministry source, the peace plan “is not ready … in the form in which it is currently being discussed.” He says that work still needs to be done on the wording and details.
4/ “There are also issues with guarantees, the size of the Ukrainian army, and questions regarding sanctions and [frozen Russian] assets,” he says.
5/ A high-ranking Russian government source says that the proposals are a “start” but are “unlikely to be fully implemented.” Echoing Western critiques, he criticises the 28 points as having too many “vague points” that delay the resolution of contentious issues “indefinitely”.
….
9/ After the initial euphoria, Putin’s indifferent reaction has prompted disappointment among the Russian bureaucracy. One official thinks that Putin has “doubled the stakes again” and “may now lose.”
Moscow Mitch could have done something about Trump — twice. Instead he kissed his ass.
Sad update from Ternopil:
Another 1,170 Russians who drew the short straw. Plus 4 tanks.
The second-best army in the world. These are the guys who are going to march triumphantly into Berlin.
Russia has a new treatment for diabetes. Send patients to the front. Pump them full of meth. Give them a couple clips, tell them to scavenge a rifle off a dead comrade and send them into downtown Pokrovsk.
It’s an ingenious Russian solution to problems with supply and demand — instead of increasing supply, reduce demand.

Viktor Orban demonstrates once again why Hungary needs to be suspended from the EU and NATO.
He is going to need two things — a box full of medals and substantial post-war therapy.
Ireland steps up.
Rest in peace.
I’m not sure if the woman referred to in this post is the same as the Polish victim.
Did anyone run this by Elon? He’s gonna be pissed.
