Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs ‘Woke Up With a Knife to His Throat’ While Behind Bars, Claims Friend

Sean “Diddy” Combs is not having the easiest time behind bars.

Charlucci Finney, a longtime friend of the disgraced rapper, told the Daily Mail in an interview published Wednesday, October 22, that Combs allegedly “woke up with a knife to his throat.”

Earlier this month, the 55-year-old rap mogul was sentenced to 50 months — or more than four years — in prison after being convicted on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution. He is currently serving time at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, New York.

Finney, who has worked in the music industry for decades and has described their relationship as close, alleged to the outlet that the man who confronted Combs was armed with a shiv (a knife or razor used as a weapon).

Though Finney was unsure if Combs “fought” off the man holding the weapon or if “the guards came,” he insisted: “I just know that it happened.”

He added, “If this guy had wanted to harm him, Sean would have been harmed. It would only take a second to cut his throat with a weapon and kill him. It was probably a way to say: ‘Next time you ain’t gonna be so lucky.’ Everything is intimidation. But with Sean it won’t work. Sean is from Harlem.”

Finney said that inmates at places like the Metropolitan Detention Center don’t take kindly to those who have been accused of sexual-related crimes.

“The prisoners take it personal,” he explained. “They look at it like, it could have been my mom, my auntie, my daughter. They try to get what they call prison justice. And you have to understand, we are not talking about a regular person. We’re talking about Diddy.”

During his trial, Combs — who pleaded not guilty to the sex-related felonies — was found not guilty of racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking, but guilty on two counts of transportation for the purposes of prostitution. NBC News reported that Combs’ legal team hopes to have him serve the remainder of his time at a low-security facility in New Jersey.

Shortly after his sentencing, a source exclusively told the National Enquirer that Combs was in “total shock,” adding: “He really believed he’d get out with time served, his lawyers promised.”

Combs was so confident that “he’d be a free man again,” he booked a speaking gig for the week after his sentencing hearing.

“Now all his plans are in limbo,” said the source, adding that his rumored “comeback tour” and all the other “deals he had in place are on hold.”
