Spiritforged Merch Drawing FAQ
A Quick Summary:
Hey Riftbounders,
When we put Spiritforged on presale on the Riot Merch store, we ran into issues. Here’s the TL;DR for what we’re doing to fix it going forward:
-
As many of you have requested, we’re moving away from “First Come, First Served” to a drawing-based system for the opportunity to buy Spiritforged product on the Riot Merch Store.
-
The drawings will be open for 48 hours to allow people to enter.
-
People selected in a drawing will have a window to make their purchase, if that window expires and they haven’t completed their purchase, someone new will be drawn and notified.
-
We’re not done. We’ll continue to iterate to make sure your experience is the best it can be.

The Long Version:
Our Message to you:
As we all saw, Spiritforged preorders went way too fast, and we know it was a frustrating experience for a lot of you.
The Spiritforged preorder was not acceptable and did not hit the quality bar that we hold ourselves to. Our team is made up of TCG players and superfans, so we know how frustrating it is to feel like you didn’t even get a shot at getting cards.
Since the day of the attack, we’ve spun up a rapid development team to create a new way to get product into your hands.
Our goal is to create a fair and equitable process to get our product to the greatest number of people as possible. That includes ensuring the product does not get into the hands of bots. We take this seriously.
We’re deeply invested in improving here. We really do not want this to be a thing that regularly happens, and we’re committed to make sure it doesn’t.
So what actually happened?
There were two major issues. First, even with around fifty percent more product than Origins, we still didn’t have enough to meet demand. Second, the sales process was overwhelmed by a mix of real traffic from Riftbounders and bots.
Spiritforged’s preorder event was open ordering, meaning that it was a “First Come, First Serve” experience. While straight forward, the downside is that the combination of high demand and people using bots to try to beat the system made this a really, really bad experience.
As many of you know, it can be common for sites selling game products to be targeted by sophisticated botting efforts to brute force their way in ahead of the queue, and lock out legitimate players from buying anything. Unfortunately, this is exactly what happened during the Spiritforged Presale.
Though we were able to observe and cancel the fraudulent orders, the traffic overwhelmed the site, preventing most users from being able to purchase anything.
What are we doing about it?
Tomorrow morning (February 3rd), at 9am Pacific, we’re opening entry into drawings for Spiritforged product. You will be able to throw your name in the ring for the opportunity to purchase a Spiritforged Booster Display, a Rumble Champion Deck, and a Fiora Champion Deck. If your name is drawn for one or more Spiritforged products, you’ll be sent a link to purchase them.
The selection is entirely random, with the exception of multiple layers to check that the account is real and not fraudulent. We don’t want to give away too much info, but we’ve put multiple measures in place to ensure the product gets into real players’ hands.
Note: This means you should not enter with multiple Riot Accounts. That is something which is likely to cause your entries to be flagged as fraudulent. Additionally, be sure the account you do use to enter has a verified Email address. Players should also ensure that riotgames.com emails are not being marked as spam or filtered into the trash.
What are the details of the drawing?
We’re spinning up a series of sites for you to enter the drawing for each available product. You can use your Riot Account to throw your name in for one, two, or all three products, but may not enter an individual drawing more than once.
Drawings will open at 9am Pacific on February 3rd, 2026.
To enter the Spiritforged Booster Display drawing, go here.
To enter the Rumble Champion Deck drawing, go here.
To enter the Fiora Champion Deck drawing, go here.
To enter each drawing, you’ll have to do it during the window below. If selected, there will be a limited window to order the product you were drawn for, also outlined below.
What’s the schedule for the drawing?

-
February 5th, 9AM PST: Registration for Drawing Closes
-
February 9th: Purchase links begin to go out to players.
-

Pay attention to Riftbound’s X account for updates on timing updates or news on how this is progressing.
What happens if my name is drawn?
If your name is chosen in the drawing, you’ll be sent a link to purchase Spiritforged Product. The link to purchase will work for 24 hours. If you choose not to purchase, we will move on to the next person, chosen at random.
If you entered multiple drawings, you may be chosen to purchase multiple Spiritforged products.
What happens if someone is drawn but doesn’t purchase their product?
That player’s chance at those products will be done as soon as their purchase window expires. Once a player’s purchase window expires, the stock will be returned to the store and the system will do a new drawing for the product(s) that were not purchased. This drawing will only be drawn from among people who have not yet been selected for those products. These waves will continue until the stock on the Riot Merch store is depleted.
What happens if I am drawn to receive multiple products?
When you use the purchase link from the email, your shopping cart will be locked. You may choose not to purchase any of the items you were selected for, but if you proceed with checkout, you must purchase all of the items you were selected for. For example, if you are selected for both a Booster Display and the Fiora Deck, you cannot choose to purchase only the Booster Display while passing on the Fiora Deck.
Can I be drawn to receive multiples of a single product?
No. You will only possibly be drawn to receive 1 of any specific product. So you should not receive the opportunity to buy more than one Spiritforged Display, or one of either of the Champion Decks.
How do I receive product?
Once you’ve purchased the items you drew, they will begin fulfillment on February 13th.
What’s next?
We will collect your feedback, see how this performs, and adjust this process to improve this experience in the future. This isn’t the end of our work: We’re continually iterating on this, because we want each purchasing experience to be smoother than the last.
We’re going to keep doing the work to make this experience better with each iteration. The production of cards like this is a complicated manufacturing process, we wish we could hit a button and fix everything, but unfortunately the solution lies at the end of incremental changes.
We’re not done yet, but we’re making progress towards the future we want: Accessible product for current and future Riftbound players.
