Taylor Frankie Paul Allegedly Stormed Off ‘Bachelorette’ Set When Asked About Past Arrest
Taylor Frankie Paul allegedly stormed off the set of The Bachelorette when asked about her past arrest for domestic violence.
According to TMZ, who spoke with an insider, Paul’s 2023 arrest was brought up by a contestant named Casey Hux during a one-on-one date, and she reportedly became very emotional while talking about it.
Another source tells the outlet that Paul had a “full-fledged meltdown” when the arrest was brought up and even stormed off set.
The sources also claimed that Hux brought the arrest up because he wanted to know what Paul had learned from the experience and how she has grown as a person since then.

Paul’s season was scheduled to premiere on Sunday, Mar. 22. On Thursday, Mar. 19, ABC pulled the plug on her season after TMZ released a never-before-seen video that appears to show Paul assaulting her ex-boyfriendDakota Mortensen in 2023.
In a statement to TMZ, a Disney Entertainment spokesperson said, “In light of the newly released video just surfaced today, we have made the decision to not move forward with the new season of The Bachelorette at this time, and our focus is on supporting the family.”
In the aftermath of the incident with Mortensen, Paul was arrested for alleged domestic violence and was given misdemeanor charges of assault, criminal mischief, and commission of domestic violence in the presence of a child, after she was accused of throwing a chair at Mortensen that hit her daughter.
Paul ultimately pleaded guilty to a single charge of aggravated assault, and the domestic violence charges were dismissed as part of the plea deal. She is currently serving a 3-year probation.
A spokesperson for the Draper City Police Department in Utah also confirmed that there is an open “domestic assault investigation” regarding Paul and Mortensen related to incidents that allegedly occurred in February 2026.
The spokesperson confirmed “allegations have been made in both directions” and that “contact was made with involved parties on [Feb] 24th and 25th,” but declined to share any further details.
