The new Stranger Things season five trailer smashes us back into Hawkins with our latest glimpse at the Netflix show’s much-anticipated return.

The government is hunting Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) in a search led by guest star Linda Hamilton as the mysterious Dr. Kay, as the world turns upside down. And damn, does seeing Will (Noah Schnapp), Mike (Finn Wolfhard), Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo), and Lucas (Caleb McLaughlin) standing together again make us feel old.

Take a look at the trailer below for another look at the final adventure that awaits Hawkins’ heroes.

It’s hard to believe the end is nigh for Stranger Things. Volume one can’t come soon enough, because things sure look bleak for everyone. You know there might be more than one hero being cooked. Could it be Hopper (David Harbour)? Jonathan (Charlie Heaton), maybe, because please, not Steve (Joe Keery)?  You’ve got to admit that some characters last season felt as if they were getting built up to bow out, including one pothead burnout older brother.

It’s definitely going to be a tough watch with the dangers of Vecna (Jamie Campbell Bower) stretching out in what’s sure to be a hellish homecoming for Henry Creel. In Joyce (Winona Ryder) we trust, because if that mom is going to turn the ground over to find her son and fly to Russia to save her man, I can’t wait to see her wrath unleashed on Vecna. There’s no way he stands a chance against her if he messes with her kids.

That’s just our hope, at least, because this teaser has us on edge. But hey, at least everyone is finally reunited to save Hawkins.

Stranger Things season five premieres November 26 on Netflix with its first four episodes. Three more episodes arrive December 25, and the big finale drops on December 31.
