‘They Hope She Gets Help’
Britney Spears’ rep may have told Star that her sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James, would be there for her following her DUI arrest, but sources told Rob Shuter they won’t be overseeing her healing journey.
“They love their mom, but they’re not going to be responsible for her,” one insider told Shuter for his Naughty But Nice Substack on Friday, March 6. “That’s simply not their role.”
When the “Toxic” singer, 44, was arrested on Wednesday, March 4, her rep said her family would step in to give her the “help and support she needs,” telling Star, “Her boys are going to be spending time with her. Her loved ones are going to come up with an overdue needed plan to set her up for success for well being.”

But her sons, whom she shares with ex-husband Kevin Federline, have already been through the emotional ringer with their mom, a source told Shuter.
“They’ve already carried a lot growing up. They want their mom to be healthy, but they can’t fix this for her,” the source explained, noting that Jayden, 19, has spent time reconnecting with the pop star recently, while his older brother, 20, has mostly stayed away.
“They hope she gets help,” the insider added. “But this is something Britney has to do for herself.”
