There are four undefeated teams remaining in the NBA this season — the Philadelphia 76ers, Oklahoma City Thunder, San Antonio Spurs and Chicago Bulls.
The Bulls boast their zero thanks to a stalwart defense and eager ball movement, abiding by head coach Billy Donovan’s strategies.
They’re second in defensive rating (104.4), third in assist-to-turnover ratio (19.7) and seventh in pace (105.8), making for an exciting watch so far this season.
Guards Josh Giddey, Tre Jones and Ayo Dosumu have all gotten out to flying starts.
Giddey — who joined Nikola Jokić and LeBron James as one of three players to record over 1,000 points, 500 rebounds, and 500 assists last season — is back at it again, averaging 19.3 points, 8.7 rebounds and 6.3 assists per game.
Jones is averaging a career-high 8.3 assists per game, outdoing his teammate, while Dosumu has hit a series of big threes for the Bulls on his way to 16.3 points per game.
Nikola Vučević has also been huge so far. He’s sixth in the NBA in rebounding at 13.0 per game while also knocking down 54.5 percent of his 3.7 three-point attempts per game.
Swingman Matas Buzelis is also always a threat to throw down a ridiculous jam.

Donovan is enjoying the team’s chemistry.
“This group, we can go on a bus ride and we’re laughing, talking about the NBA. It’s more a brotherhood because we relate to each other more,” said Donovan.
Will Chicago stay undefeated after matching up with former Bull Zach LaVine and the Kings tonight? Tune in at 8 ET on League Pass to find out.

Welcome to a 10-game Wednesday night!
Julius Randle leads the Minnesota Timberwolves host the Los Angeles Lakers tonight in the second half of our ESPN doubleheader.
As Halloween — and the start of the Emirates NBA Cup 2025 — draws near, settle in for a 10-game night of hoops across the National Basketball Association, featuring Eastern and Western Conference rivals facing off in an ESPN doubleheader.
In our opening national TV contest, Jaylen Brown and the Boston Celtics travel to Cleveland to face Donovan Mitchell and the Cavaliers.
The Celtics have turned into a scrappy, defensively-focused squad without superstar Jayson Tatum, who remains sidelined with an ACL tear.
In his absence, Brown (26.0 ppg) and a balanced crew of young talents have begun to come together, earning the Celtics’ first win of the season against the Pelicans on Monday night.
Boston is ninth in the NBA in defensive rating at 111.7, fourth in turnover percentage at 13.1 percent and 28th in pace, staying in games by keeping control of the flow.
Watch for former Timberwolf Josh Minott, who made an impact with his hustle and athleticism in the Celtics’ win over New Orleans. He was a team-high +42 in the victory, picking up the opposing point guard full-court and throwing down some thunderous dunks.

What a night for Josh Minott in his first career NBA start! He had a plus/minus of +42 which is the eighth highest in @celtics history. #GLeagueAlum pic.twitter.com/whQnbXyaKV

The Cavaliers are out to a 3-1 start, buoyed by the talents of Donovan Mitchell, who’s taken greater command of the team with Darius Garland unavailable (turf toe).
Mitchell’s scored at least 31 points in each of the Cavs’ last three games — all wins.
With sharpshooter Sam Merrill out tonight (hip contusion), he’l take on an even greater burden for Cleveland.
“I think he’s underrated,” Cleveland coach Kenny Atkinson said of Mitchell. “First-team All-NBA. I don’t know why people don’t talk about him more. Probably because he’s no controversy, low-key, humble. Does that equal you get underrated because of the personality?”
In the second half of our ESPN doubleheader, Austin Reaves and the Los Angeles Lakers face Julius Randle and the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Reaves has been a scoring force in the absence of Luka Dončić and LeBron James, scoring 51 points against the Sacramento Kings Sunday and 41 points against the Portland Trail Blazers Monday.
His efficiency hasn’t slipped a notch — he’s shot 56.8 percent from the field in the two contests, as he shows off his trademark slithering drives and long-range shooting.
The Lakers have been scoring around the rim with ease so far this season. They’re fourth in points in the paint per game (57), third in field goal percentage (52 percent) and third in points off drives (35.5).
Four-time Kia NBA Defensive Player of the Year Rudy Gobert could have something to say about that.
Opposing teams have seen their effective field goal percentages drop by 13.6 percent with Gobert on the floor so far this season.
Former Laker Julius Randle has kept the Timberwolves’ offense humming in the absence of Anthony Edwards, dropping 31 points in their win over the Pacers on Sunday. He’s knocking down his threes, hitting 42.9 percent from long-range so far this season. Gobert added 14 points on 6-of-7 shooting and 18 rebounds in the win.
The Lakers won the initial contest between these two teams 128-110 last Friday. Who will take the rematch tonight?
