Tri-State teen dies from the flu
CLINTON COUNTY, Ohio (WKRC) – A Clinton County teenager has died from the flu.
“We are deeply saddened to report this tragic loss,” said Monica Wood, Health Commissioner of the Clinton County Health District. “Our thoughts are with the family during this incredibly difficult time.”
Health officials did not release any details about the teen, including age, vaccination status or whether the teenager had any underlying health conditions.
The Clinton County Health District did say as of late February 2026, roughly 90% of reported child flu deaths in the United States for the 2025-2026 season occurred in unvaccinated children.
