Valentina Shevchenko fires back at Ronda Rousey over OnlyFans comments
Ronda Rousey went after her former employers at the UFC on Tuesday in a wild rant aimed at fighter pay and how so many athletes are forced to seek supplemental income as a result.
Somehow UFC women’s flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko caught a stray when Rousey referenced how some fighters have even started working with OnlyFans to make ends meet. OnlyFans is a subscription based platform where creators can post photos and videos with the website primarily driven by adult themed content.
“It’s why so many of their top athletes are leaving to go and find pay elsewhere,” Rousey said. “It’s why their champions like Valentina [Shevchenko] are selling pictures of their titties on OnlyFans. These people, a lot of them at the ground level, they can’t support their families. They’re living poverty-level fighting full-time.”
It didn’t take long for Shevchenko to see the comments and fire back at Rousey about her involvement with OnlyFans.
“It’s 2026. Fighters using OnlyFans is just a new way to connect with fans,” Shevchenko wrote on social media. “Looks like Ronda slept too long after her last fight in 2016.”
Shevchenko, who is also ranked by the UFC as the No. 1 pound-for-pound women’s fighter, has been a mainstay on the roster since 2015 including two separate reigns as flyweight champion.
Obviously she didn’t take too kindly to Rousey dragging her name in the mud when discussing her issues with UFC fighter pay. Rousey only recently started discussing her problems with the UFC and fighter pay as she promotes her upcoming return to action against Gina Carano on May 16.
Of course at her peak, Rousey was one of the biggest stars in the UFC after serving as women’s bantamweight champion for over two years. Now as she makes her first appearance for a fight in almost a decade, Rousey is suddenly taking aim at the UFC but Shevchenko clearly isn’t impressed that she somehow got involved.
