Victim killed in mass shooting at downtown Oakland bar EZ’s Lounge identified as Latetia Bobo, 8th grade teacher, school confirms
OAKLAND, Calif. (KGO) — The identity of one of the two victims shot and killed at an Oakland bar early Saturday morning has been identified.
Latetia Bobo, 33, was an 8th grade English language arts teacher at Beta Academy, a charter school in San Pablo, according to Caliber Public Schools.
The shooting happened at about 3:30 a.m. inside EZ’s lounge at 412 14th Street, the Oakland Police Officers Association confirmed.
The school released a statement writing, “Her presence brought light to our campus, and she will be deeply missed by all of us. We know that Ms. Bobo touched many lives, and we will continue to honor her legacy through the love, compassion, and dedication she showed every day.”

On Sunday, ABC7 Eyewitness News saw a bouquet of roses outside the bar.
A 25-year-old man was also killed and five other people were hurt.

Police have not released any additional information.
No arrests have been made.
