Nicole Young faced professional consequences for a heated conversation with her “Selling Sunset” costar Chrishell Stause.

During episode 2 of Selling Sunset’s ninth season, Nicole and Chrishell got into an argument at a Friendsgiving event. When Chrishell defended her right to question Nicole’s alleged drug use, Nicole replied, “Honey, you’re confusing me with your parents, OK? You seem to be obsessed with drugs.”

The comment elicited gasps from all the women at the table, as Chrishell’s parents both died from lung cancer. Chrishell has been candid in the past about her parents’ struggles with addiction.

“You need to f—ing leave,” Amanza Smith told Nicole as the other women called for her removal from the dinner. “Her parents are dead. Are you f—ing serious? I hope you are on drugs, because this is f—ing inexcusable.”

Emma Hernan called Nicole “a sick human” as Chrishell claimed that Nicole “OD’ed on cocaine.” Nicole denied Chrishell’s allegation and doubled down on her comments.

“She’s talked about [her parents] being addicts,” Nicole said. “It is OK for me to continually be called a drug addict? You talked about your parents doing drugs.”

Nicole ultimately left the event. During episode 3 of the new “Selling Sunset” season, Oppenheim Group founder Jason Oppenheim and his brother, Brett Oppenheim, had a serious chat with Nicole about her behavior.

“I honestly could not believe the comment you made about Chrishell’s parents. I was viscerally disheartened and offended,” Jason said. “Any reference to someone’s dead parents is categorically off limits, especially if it’s disparaging. You can call it savage, you can say that you were pushed into a corner, but it’s off limits what you said.”

Jason then gave Nicole the news, “You’re gonna have to leave this office.”

“You honestly think that’s fair?” Nicole asked the real estate mogul. “How long I’ve been here, the amount of business I bring in? Are you prepared to lose that?”

Despite how things looked in the episode, Nicole told Netflix’s Tudum that she “was never fired from the office or from The Oppenheim Group,” because she is an independent contractor.

“[Realtors] don’t clock in every day from nine-to-five. Not coming into the office and continuing to work and do business, that wasn’t a huge deal,” she said.

Nicole has since moved from Los Angeles to Nashville, where she plans to continue her real estate career.

“My new priority will be Nashville, but it definitely won’t be goodbye to LA real estate,” she said.

“Selling Sunset” is available to stream on Netflix.
