CLEVELAND, Ohio — Scribbles in my Browns notebook as they play at New England Sunday:
1. The Patriots are 5-2. The Browns are 2-5. As I started to write, “This is a real test for coach Kevin Stefanski … ” I realized that is beyond obvious. Of course it’s a test, but of a different kind. The best thing the Browns do is run the ball. The best thing New England’s defense does is stop the run. The Patriots rank No. 3 overall vs. the run. No back has rushed for more than 50 yards against them in seven games this season. New England coach Mike Vrabel usually has had tough defenses dating back to his days in Tennessee.
