Hometown dates are done, fantasy suites are just around the corner and there’s only one question us The Golden Bachelor fans have left: Who does Mel pick?

Heading into October 22’s hometown dates episodes Mel Owens’ final three are:

  • Cindy Angelcyk, a 60-year-old retired biomedical engineer from Austin, Texas.
  • Debbie Siebers, a 65-year-old fitness professional from Denver.
  • Peg Munson, a 62-year-old retired firefighter and bomb tech from Las Vegas.

However, if you’re impatient like us, you’re probably wanting to skip ahead and find out who Mel gives his final rose to in the upcoming finale episode.

The Golden Bachelor was filmed between July and September 2025, which means that Mel has already given his final rose to one of the women. As Bachelor Nation fans know, it’s possible to find out the winner of the season in advance thanks to Reality Steve, a go-to source for intel.

So, what has Reality Steve revealed about this season of The Golden Bachelor? Do we know who Mel picks as his winner?

Who Does Mel Owens Pick on The Golden Bachelor?

We don’t know yet who Mel Owens picks in the finale episode of his season of The Golden Bachelor. Reality Steve revealed on his podcast that he does not yet have spoilers for the season and doesn’t know who will win The Golden Bachelor.

“Hopefully, at some point, I’ll get spoilers. Right now, I have none,” Steve said during the September 23 episode of his pod. “I couldn’t tell you where they went for Final Rose ceremony. I can’t tell you who the final three are.”

He explained that this is a change from the previous season of The Golden Bachelor and The Golden Bachelorette, for which we knew spoilers at this point. He said, “And for the first two seasons of Golden Bachelor and Golden Bachelorette, I had all that info and you knew it, at least for Gerry’s season, you knew who the final two were.”

Steve, who has been critical of Mel over comments the season lead made on a podcast about desiring women under the age of 60, even reported that ABC was considering replacing him earlier in the summer, added that he’s keeping his coverage of The Golden Bachelor to a minimum this season.

“I’ve got nothing. I got nothing right now. If I did, I would tell you, but, the days of me coming on the next day after a Golden Bachelorette or a Golden Bachelor and breaking down what we saw on the episode, certainly not gonna be writing anything about it,” he shared. “The coverage of Golden Bachelor is gonna be very, very minimal from me, just because I don’t care, and that’s my stance.”

What Has Mel Said About Who He Picks?

Mel gave details about who he picks to Us Weekly in an October 22 interview, saying that he was leaning “a little bit more toward one person than the other, so I went with my gut.”

“We go to Antigua. I’ve never been there. I’ve been to islands, but I’ve never been there. But whoever scouted it out and set it up and got things prepared, just the little details, it’s just so good,” he said of the finale episode. “It’s really emotional. And you’re a little nervous, but it’s so brilliant… It’s so good, you won’t believe it.”

Does Mel Get Engaged In The Golden Bachelor?

We won’t know until the season finale of The Golden Bachelor whether or not Mel gets engaged to one of the women on his season. However, Mel did hint to USA Today that marriage wasn’t his “ultimate goal” on the show.

“Love is a good thing, it fills your heart, it makes you feel better, and it gives you a purpose,” Mel said in a September 24 interview. “I liked being in love. That’s the ultimate goal.”
