WE Royal Rumble is going down today (Sat., Jan. 31, 2026) from the King Abdullah Financial District in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, starting at 2:00 pm ET, live on ESPN in the United States and Netflix everywhere else. It’s time for the second biggest show of the year for the top pro wrestling company in the world.

The show opens with the usual montage of talent arriving at the arena.
Then we get a video package about the history of the Royal Rumble that stars and is narrated by Hunter Hearst-Helmsley.
Charlotte Flair enters at #1.
Alexa Bliss enters at #2.
Bliss seems content to chill out and wait for number three to come down, Flair is more reticent and responds to Alexa’s offer of heart hands by double legging her and setting her up top… and completing the heart, all smiles. Back on her feet, Bliss hooks her for Sister Abigail, but again it’s all fun.
Double leg from Charlotte, but it’s not the figure four, it’s hearts! Aw. The countdown timer ticks…
Kiana James enters at #3.
James coming in hot, corner to corner, Bliss nails her with a boot but she manages to get a Sole Food off on Flair! Alexa gets her to the apron, she comes back in with a slingshot splash, Charlotte nails her with a roundhouse kick, Bliss off the second, double-team DDT connects and the countdown timer ticks…
Jax in piefacing everybody, pop-up headbutt lays James out, Samoan Drop for Bliss and Flair stumbles into one of her own! Taunting the crowd, she gets blindsided by Kiana who lands a moonsault on the babyfaces. Putting Nia shoulder-first into the turnbuckles, and the countdown timer ticks…
Nile in looking for a slam on Jax, reversed, Ivy slips out, looking for a German suplex but Jax rams her into the corner and hammers her with back elbows to break and the countdown timer ticks…
Vice in throwing knees and kicks, German suplex on Flair, Speedball kicks on Bliss and then some for Charlotte too! Hip attacks corner to corner, duck under Ivy, take her out with a backfist! Nia drops Lola with a lariat, Superkick Party from Flair and James connects but Jax shrugs it off and knocks them down!
Bliss takes her back for a sleeper, Nia shrugs her off, right hand, dragging Kiana into the corner, up top, she gets up and cuts her off! James gets Jax up, Samoan drop, the countdown timer ticks…
Candice LeRae enters at #7.
Flair tries to pick her off, LeRae with a boot and a tornado DDT, picking James off of Jax, putting her on the apron, ducking and Ivy blasts her but Kaian hangs in there! Candice face-to-face with Nia, trying to make nice, Nile comes over and gets dropped with a lariat! LeRae with a step-up senton and it’s all hugs between her and Nia!

Dupri off the ropes, Lou Thesz Press into mounted punches on Becky, Lynch puts her to the apron but Maxxine goes up top, diving crossbody takes her out, throwing her over the ropes! Becky holding firm, back inside, Dupri gets a fisherman suplex and kips up before taking the straps down! Roxanne! comes from behind but Maxxine whips her into a crescent kick!

Oblivion countered, waistlock, standing switch, Ruca with a double Sol Snatcher! Waistlock, drawing Tiffany to her feet, Liv as well, looking for a double elimination, all three women end up on the apron and hanging in there! Liv recovers first but ends up on the wrong side of elbows and kicks! Sol steps up over her, Stratton puts her into the post, Ruca recovers, Sol Snatcher attempted…

Liv Morgan wins, last eliminating Tiffany Stratton to win the Women’s Royal Rumble and earn a title match against a champion of her choosing.
We see Je’Von Evans getting ready backstage.
If AJ Styles loses, he will retire.
Styles in with a side headlock, GUNTHER tries for a back suplex and AJ counters with a flying mare! Breaking free, the Ring General takes a breather in the ropes, back inside, Styles picks his leg and GUNTHER gets right in the ropes to force the break! AJ ducks a chop, throws chops of his own in the corner, but the Ring General takes him to a knee with a side headlock!
Trying to shoot him off, blocked, Styles with some elbows, shoots him off, drop down, dropkick, GUNTHER fires back with a chop that puts AJ in the ropes and a boot that sends him to the floor! Out to the floor, back suplex into the announce desk, whip puts Styles into the post hard! Whip into the barricade, back inside, chops in the corner!
Passing stomp to the twenty-five year vet, AJ bleeding from his elbow, throwing elbows, GUNTHER whips him hard into the turnbuckles! Off the ropes, huge back body drop and Styles bounces in agony! Boston Crab applied in the middle of the ring, AJ rolls over and fights out with upkicks but the Ring General comes hard off the ropes with a Penalty Kick!
Short-arm chops, AJ ducks under one and lays forearms in in the ropes! Whip reversed, front kick connects, fireman’s carry, GUNTHER slips out, Styles ducks a lariat and nails him with the Pele kick! Styles Rush, duck under, kick the Ring General’s leg out of his leg, sliding lariat, leaping lariat in the corner, Ushigoroshi connects… NO DEAL!
Thinking Styles Clash, back body drop counters, AJ rolls through and tries again but GUNTHER gets out with a kick and follows it with a lariat for two! Trying for the Calf Killer, the Ring General hangs on the ropes to block and follows it with chops, cutting Styles down! Another try, AJ gets the Calf Killer but the Ring General gets the ropes!
Styles hangs on for the full count but breaks the hold! GUNTHER with the Tenryu Powerbomb… SO CLOSE! Back and forth, AJ gets the Calf Killer again and right in the middle of the ring! GUNTHER crawling, reaching, desperate, Styles rolls him away from the ropes and reapplies! The Ring General counters with the Gojira Clutch!
AJ to his feet, reversing into a pin, force the break, sleeper hold of his own, GUNTHER shoves him off the ropes, catches him back in the Gojira Clutch, Styles throws him through the ropes to fight him off! Plancha elbow to the floor and both men are down! Back inside, AJ goes up top but the Ring General recovers and cuts him off with a chop!
Up top, jockeying for position, Styles slips under, powerbomb, GUNTHER reverses, AJ slips out, kicks his leg, Tenryu Powerbomb of his own… NOT ENOUGH! Styles out to the apron, springboard 450 splash connects, drawing GUNTHER up… STYLES CLASH CONNECTS BUT GUNTHER WILL NOT STAY DOWN! Back and forth, Styles gets a sleeper hold of his own, GUNTHER breaks free with a low blow after backing referee Dan Engler into the corner where he couldn’t see it, Tenryu Powerbomb… AJ STYLES WILL NOT LET HIS CAREER END LIKE THIS!
The Ring General laying chops in in the corner, over and over, to the point where Engler warns him off for castigo de excesivo! GUNTHER right back in with kicks, Dan keeps him away while he checks on AJ! More chops, again Engler warns him off! GUNTHER back in with chops, AJ crumbles but doesn’t fall, the Ring General switches to lariats and Styles falls!
AJ to his feet, determination steeling his spine, he shrugs off a chop and wades in with forearms of his own until Engler has to warn him off as well! Styles brushes himself off, back in, back body drop to the apron, Phenomenal Forearm countered to a fireman’s carry, electric chair, dropping AJ into the Gojira Clutch!
Falling back, putting the bodyscissors in, AJ flagging but not failing, fighting out with elbows! Back on his feet, GUNTHER hammering him with elbows to the ribs, falling back into the Gojira Clutch once more! Styles clawing at his grip, throwing elbows to the thigh again, the Ring General rolls onto his back to try and suffocate him but AJ gets to his knees and reaches for the ropes, crawling, desperate, a finger on the ropes but GUNTHER drags him away!
Styles gets his legs under him better, the Ring General with elbows, reapplying the Gojira Clutch, Dan asking him as his arm falls…
GUNTHER wins by referee stoppage with the Gojira Clutch, ending AJ Styles’ career.
Post-match, Styles wakes up and realizes what’s happened and Engler, longtime TNA head referee as Rudy Charles, shares a moment with him in the ropes before he gets up and faces the crowd.
AJ takes his gloves off as the crowd chants “NO!” before putting them back on! He throws up his hand gesture as people in the crowd are shown reciprocating and throwing up Too Sweets for him. The chants shift to “AJ Styles!” and he leaves the ring.
He gets a couple steps up the ramp before heading back in and climbing the turnbuckles, throwing up Too Sweets and holding his hand to his heart as his music starts up one more time and he takes his leave.
We see Penta, Dragon Lee, and Rey Mysterio warming up and we get a quick montage of some of our past Royal Rumble winners.
Drew McIntyre (c) vs. Sami Zayn (WWE Undisputed Men’s Championship)
Collar and elbow, McIntyre rushes Zayn into the corner, Sami lands a chop after the break! Side headlock from Drew, wrenching it in, shot off, shoulder block, champion wading in and challenger blocks and throws punches of his own. Whip reversed, punch blocks the elbow, up to the second, boot and a diving axhandle from Zayn!
Chop in the ropes, whip across, springboard up and over, lariat sends Drew to the floor! Fired up, off the ropes… TOPE CON GIRO! McIntyre rams Sami into the apron a few times, back inside, backbreaker connects, hard whip into the corner, Zayn clutching Drew’s legs, desperate punches but the champion clubs him in the small of the back!
Whip across, Sami ducks an elbow but eats a quebradora… NOPE! Up in the corner, big chop, climbing up to join his challenger… SAMI ZAYN SUNSET FLIP POWERBOMB FOR TWO! Big boot, Blue Thunder Driver… STILL NO! Trading elbows in the middle of the ring, McIntyre fired up, laying in wait, counting down, Sami rolls under the Claymore, crucifix pin, only a nearfall!
Zayn climbs up top, clutching his back, Drew cuts him off with a punch, climbs up with him, jockeying for position… AVALANCHE WHITE NOISE! Backslide attempt, McIntyre counters, underhooks, Future Shock connects! Another Future Shock, a third… SAMI ZAYN WON’T LET IT END LIKE THAT! Corner exploder blocked, lariat from Drew, another one on the charge, a third, a fourth almost countered with a Helluva Kick, Drew sidesteps, Claymore…ZAYN GOT HIS FOOT ON THE ROPES!
McIntyre yells at referee Charles Robinson, Sami charges in, Helluva Kick, slow to cover… MCINTYRE WON’T STAY DOWN! Drew rolls to the floor, Zayn out after him, slowly and clutching his back, grabbing a front chancery but his back gives out… MCINTYRE POWERBOMBS HIM THROUGH THE ANNOUNCE DESK!
Robinson calls referees Ryan Tran and Dan Engler over to check on Zayn, Drew throws him inside, grabbing his face and jawing at him, right hands, telling him to stay down, hard slaps, telling him he doesn’t have what it takes… CORNER EXPLODER! Sami getting fired up, charging in… CLAYMORE CUTS HIM OFF!
McIntyre doesn’t make the cover, red-faced and angry, talking trash, waiting for Zayn to get up…
Drew McIntyre wins by pinfall with a second Claymore, retaining the WWE Undisputed Men’s Championship.
We get footage of Paul Heyman confronting Adam Pearce over Bron Breakker getting the #2 entry during the preshow. Pearce claimed it was simply a random draw and Heyman told him if he wants to play “fuck around and find out,” he’ll play it right back. (Paul E abbreviated it to “FAFO” of course but we have some freedom of language here at Cageside Seats and I wanted to make sure it was understandable.)

Trading elbows with Femi in the middle of the ring, Sikoa with a front kick, off the ropes, trading shoulder blocks, Oba head of steam right through a clothesline and then a scoop and a slam! Whip reversed, the countdown timer ticks…
Rey Mysterio enters at #4.
Mysterio takes Solo down with the seated senton, slides under a boot, corner strikes on Femi, sidestep Sikoa into him and then a drop toehold to the second! Off the ropes, Solo pops up and catches him and Oba boots both of them to the mat as the countdown timer ticks…
Rusev in throwing dropkicks at Femi, corner lariat, charging, Mysterio catches him with a drop toehold and then a 619 and Oba dumps the Bulgarian Lion…
Oba Femi eliminates Rusev.
Irish Curse on Sikoa, a lariat sends Solo over the top as well!

Rey hits a 619 on Oba, off the ropes, another one, Femi to one knee but his eyes are wide and he’s fired up! Grabbing Mysterio by the neck, he throws him over the ropes, Rey lands on his feet and goes to springboard back in but Oba knocks him off…

Cardona in with elbows, duck a lariat, off the ropes and Oba takes his head off with a lariat! Knees up in the corner, Matt off the top with a missile dropkick, charging elbow sets up the Broski Boot! Rough Ryder countered, Fall From Grace connects! Oba gives himself a round of applause and dumps Matt…
Oba Femi eliminates Matt Cardona.

Damian Priest enters at #7.
Priest throwing right hooks, Femi cuts him off, boot up, Damian off the ropes, shoulder block gets a lariat that takes him down vicious! Oba scoops him up, Priest slips out, superkick connects, hip checks in the corner, Femi catches him but Damian slips out and nails him with a pair of Cyclone Kills!
Off the ropes, neckbreaker drop and Priest is fired up as the countdown timer ticks…
Je’Von Evans enters at #8.
Evans springboards in, ducks a kick, boot up in the corner, fakeout to a superkick, Femi drops Priest with a lariat, Je’Von springboards for the OG Cutter but Oba counters! Roman Reigns wins, last eliminating GUNTHER to win the Royal Rumble and earn a title match against a champion of his choosing.
