Apple’s latest flagship earbuds, the AirPods Pro 3, arrived only recently, yet they’re already seeing a notable price drop. Originally priced at $249, the earbuds are currently available for $200, shaving $249 off the cost. That early discount warrants some extra attention to the earbuds that already stands out in the crowded wireless audio space.
The AirPods Pro 3 build on Apple’s previous generation with a clear focus on performance and usability. One of the most significant upgrades is the enhanced real-time noise cancellation. The inclusion of foam-infused ear tips in five sizes, including a new XXS option, helps accommodate a wider range of ear shapes. This attention to fit not only improves comfort but also enhances noise isolation and overall sound quality.
Charging has been updated as well, with Apple transitioning from Lightning to USB-C. This change aligns the AirPods Pro 3 with newer devices across the company’s ecosystem and the current standard for the industry. Wireless charging remains an option through Qi-compatible pads.

Beyond hardware improvements, Apple has introduced several smart features that expand what earbuds can do. The AirPods Pro 3 now include heart rate sensing so users can monitor metrics like heart rate and calories burned across a variety of workouts. The data syncs seamlessly with an iPhone, allowing some level of fitness tracking without requiring a separate device.
Another standout feature is live translation. Powered by Apple’s broader intelligence platform, the earbuds can translate conversations in real time, delivering spoken translations directly into the user’s ear. This capability opens up new possibilities for communication across languages.
