Amanda Batula and West Wilson Confirm Their Relationship

After weeks of fan speculation, “we’re just friends” denials, and a suspicious amount of clothes-sharing that Bravo fan accounts have been tracking like the FBI, Summer House stars Amanda Batula and West Wilson seem to have confirmed they are dating. On Tuesday, the pair shared the same statement on their respective Instagram Stories, writing that while “this is still very new,” their feelings for each other have, in fact, “evolved.”

While the statement is fairly vague, it doesn’t take much to read between the lines. “Given the complicated relationship dynamics involved and the scrutiny that comes with being on a reality show, we needed a little space to process things privately before speaking on it,” the rumored couple wrote. The “complicated relationship dynamics” in question are presumably the fact that Batula is currently in the middle of a divorce from her Summer House co-star Kyle Cooke and that her best friend, Ciara Miller, used to date Wilson and those two have been in a flirty limbo for years. The current season of Summer House is airing now, and the reunion hasn’t even been filmed yet. Prayers up for Andy.

The budding relationship seems to have already taken its toll on Batula and Miller’s friendship. The pair were supposed to appear together on an Amazon livestream earlier this month but ended up appearing separately. At the time of writing, it appears Miller no longer follows Batula or Wilson on Instagram.

In a recent Marie Claire profile, Batula had nothing but positive things to say about Miller and Wilson. “It would have been a very difficult summer to get through without Ciara. She is one of the kindest, most loving, loyal friends I’ve ever had,” she said. “It’s also meant so much to me how supportive West has been throughout the season, sometimes in ways I wasn’t even aware of when filming. It’s not performative; it’s just really authentic to who West is.”

In their joint statement, the pair wrote, “We also recognize that this has had an impact beyond just us and never wanted our actions to cause any hurt or be perceived as careless.  We truly appreciate the understanding and respect as we navigate this.”
