DJI is due to announce the Neo 2 in China tomorrow. Based on recent leaks, the company will begin offering its next compact drone around two weeks later in other markets. Specifically, leaker billbil-kun reported yesterday that the DJI Neo 2 will arrive on November 13 globally for £209, €239 and $259 in the UK, Eurozone and the US, respectively.

In the meantime, the first sighting of retail packaging has emerged on social media. Likely reposted to X by OsitaLV, the image reiterates recent leaks relating to the drone’s design and how it differs from the existing DJI Neo (curr. $229 on Amazon). For instance, DJI’s new two-axis gimbal is front and centre in the leaked picture, which should provide vastly improved image stabilisation over DJI’s current 135 g drone.

Additionally, DJI has placed the battery on top for this generation. At this stage, it remains unclear what effect this has on weight distribution. Moreover, front-facing sensors and a small LED display sandwich the Neo 2’s camera, just like the DJI Flip before it. Tangetially, the new leak indicates that DJI has already mass-produced the Neo 2’s global retail packaging. Thus, it seems likely that the drone’s international release will follow shortly after its Chinese equivalent, just as billbil-kun recently claimed.
