Ever since God of War: Ragnarök came out, fans have been hoping against hope to see another game following Kratos and Atreus. However, there hasn’t been any confirmation at all so far from publisher Sony or developer Santa Monica, but Kratos voice actor Christopher Judge might have just dropped a heavy hint that the long-awaited God of War 3 might be in the works.
While speaking at the God of War: Ragnarök panel at MCM London, Christopher Judge was asked a seemingly innocent question: What mythology would he like to see Kratos visit next? After all, he has decimated the Greek and Norse pantheon, so what could his next journey be? His answer might have let slip the status of an unannounced sequel to God of War: Ragnarök.
“There’s so many pantheons that would be really interesting. Personally, just because I kind of became best known as Teal’c in Stargate,” Christopher Judge said. “For me, to go to Egypt would be kind of a completion, kind of a full circle. But whatever is decided… I mean… wait…”
That was when it appears he knew he had said more than he should. The implication seems to be that Judge has been told that he will be back as Kratos in another God of War game.
“If there is another game,” he corrected himself. “If there is another game, I have no doubt that… I mean, we know and love the writers, so that they’re just brilliant, brilliant guys.”
The backtrack was swift, but, being in the room when it was said, it certainly felt like God of War: Ragnarök won’t be the last time we hear Christopher Judge’s distinctive voice as Kratos.
