Another death has been reported at Walt Disney World’s Contemporary Resort hotel in Orlando, the third fatality in just 10 days. In Thursday’s incident, Matthew Cohn died from “multiple traumatic injuries,” according to the Orange County Medical Examiner’s office. His death was ruled a suicide.
Cohn’s death follows the “apparent suicide” on October 14 of a woman who was found near the monorail, which runs through the Contemporary Resort. An OCSD representative later told EW that the woman “was NOT struck by the monorail.”
More recently, a man in his 60s was found unresponsive at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground. He was later transported to a medical facility, where he was pronounced dead.
Deadline has reached out to Walt Disney World for comment and this post will be updated when one is received.
Earlier this month, a woman experienced a health issue after going through The Haunted Mansion at Disneyland. She was taken to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
The Anaheim park experienced a spate of three fatal falls from parking garages in less than a year between 2022 and 2023.
