‘The Secret Lives Of Mormon Wives’ Pauses Filming For Season 5
The Mormon Wives are on pause.
Filming has been suspended on Season 5 of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives as a result of allegations of domestic assault.
The move comes just days after Season 4 of the Hulu reality hit premiered on the streamer.
People Magazine reported that the allegations involve Taylor Frankie Paul, widely considered the leader of the show’s #MomTok movement, and her ex Dakota Mortensen, who is also regularly on the show, including in Season 4.
A Draper City Police Department spokesperson told the publication that there is an open “domestic assault investigation” involving the pair with allegations “made in both directions”.
Frankie Paul has had her fair share of drama on the show and it regularly features bust-ups and reunions with Mortensen.
The show also stars Jen Affleck, Jessi Draper, Miranda Hope, Whitney Leavitt, Mikayla Matthews, Mayci Neeley and Layla Taylor. The woman are all exec producers now too.
Draper and Affleck told Deadline last year that the show is basically always filming.
The move also comes as Paul is the star of ABC’s The Bachelorette, which had a teaser episode last night behind the Oscars and premieres on March 22.
It is produced by Jeff Jenkins Productions in association with 3BMG and Walt Disney Television Alternative. It also exec produced by Jeff Jenkins, Russell Jay-Staglik, Andrea Metz, Dan Cerny at Jeff Jenkins Productions. Ross Weintraub, Reinout Oerlemans at 3BMG, Lisa Filipelli, Georgia Berger, Danielle Pistotnik at Select Entertainment. Melissa Bidwell, Robin O’Neal and Stephanie Weinberg are co-exec producers.
Hulu declined to comment.
